Today is the career fair!  Students will be expected to be prepared for their assignment for Mr Berger if they have his class. We start rotations promptly at 8:30 so please start dismissing students to their starting station at 8:25. Rotations will be 15 min each. Each group will go to every station.

High school students who are planning to attend the tech field trip, remember to turn in your permission slips today!.

9th and 10th graders, after morning announcements please report to the library for the Pre-ACT Secure testing today.  This will be a mini ACT test. We should be finished by about 11:30. Those testing with accommodations will be testing in a different location. Cell phones NEED to be off and stored in the library computer lab or lock them in your lockers.  Bring pencils and your changed Chromebooks.  I will have calculators.

Congratulations to Alayna Neubert! She won an award and scholarship last night at the Association of Student Artists Exhibition!  Well done!

High School Student Council is sponsoring a food and dry goods drive December 6th- 20th. The elementary classroom that donates the most will win a root beer float party.  Donations being accepted: canned goods, boxed foods, pasta, rice, paper products, toothpaste, soap, shampoo or conditioner. Please do not send in used or expired products 

HYC is sponosing a Homeroom Door Decorating Contest. We will not be door decorating the last day before break because we don't get to enjoy the doors, so HYC is holding the contest starting now.  You may decorate your homeroom class's door from Tuesday, Dec. 5th through Thursday, Dec. 14th. Judging will take place on Friday, Dec. 15th by HYC.

Thursday, during lunch hour, HS forensics students are to meet in Mrs. Raught's room. Grab your lunch first, and plan to discuss what category you've chosen and ideas for your script.

The GP Softball team will be hosting a Deer Hunt Spaghetti dinner on Saturday, November 18 from 4 to 7 pm at the Pembine High School cafeteria complete with homemade meatballs, garlic bread, and dessert. We will be hosting a Veterans Day program on Friday morning at 9.  

The M&M Area Community Foundation Youth Advisory Committee has organized its first community service project of the school year. During November YAC members will be setting up donation boxes at participating schools throughout the Foundation’s two counties service area for a Winter Coat and Clothing Drive. Our Youth Committee is asking for your help to keep our children warm this winter! Please bring new winter clothing items to our school and put the items in the box near the library.

Youth Group meets this week on Wednesday. Teens meet outside Cafeteria doors and Elementary stay in your rooms until dismissed. If you have questions, see Mr. McLain or Ms. Kris. If you want to attend, you must have a permission form filled out.

See you at the Pole is tomorrow morning.  Please join us at Grace Lutheran Church at 7:15 am.  Student lead prayer starts at 7:30 around the school flag pole.  Donuts and juice are provided afterward.  If you have any questions, ask Mr. McLain or Ms. Kris.  

Reminder: Title 1 Voices meeting on Thursday during the lunch hour. Title 1 Voices members or anyone interested in becoming part of this group, be sure to get your lunch right away and then head over to the library for the meeting. Any questions see Mrs. Bjorkman or Mrs. Martin.

School Grounds will be open this week with a limited menu. Come order on of the following:

Hot Coffee, Flavored Hot Coffee, Strawberry or Blueberry Smoothie, Hot chocolate, Hot Tea (Green tea or Chai Vanilla), or a cool, refreshing bottle of water! Hours are posted. Orders will be taken in the mornings 7:40 -7:55 am

Orders for 9-12 Homerooms will be taken in the Commons area during the first 15 min. of the lunch period.

The Booster Club will be sponsoring a Donkey Basketball game for Homecoming this year.  The game will be on Friday, October 13 at 7pm.  There will be a students vs staff game and we are looking for riders!  If you are 16 or over, under 225lbs with no health issues, you are eligible to ride with parents permission!  See Melissa for more details.

Winners of the Panther Pride student of the week will be entered into a drawing for a free ticket to the Donkey Basketball game!  All students from last week, this week and the next 4 weeks will be entered into a drawing to receive 1 free ticket to the game!

Today is picture day in the Library. We will be starting first thing in the morning with the Daycare students and work our way through the building. Staff, please be sure that you are photographed at some point through the morning. 

The M&M Area Community Foundation is seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and committed youth ages 12 – 21 to join our Youth Advisory Committee (YAC). Program opportunities include leadership development with a strong focus on making a difference and giving back to our communities, and of course having fun!!  Joining YAC is a terrific way for students to network with other students from schools across Marinette and Menominee Counties. Students who attend seven meetings/school year, whether in-person or virtually, will receive a scholarship of $100/year. YAC meets monthly, at a day, time and location determined by its members. Most meetings will have both an in-person and virtual option. Our YAC orientation meeting is scheduled for Sunday, September 17th at 4pm. We will gather in-person at LE Jones Company, 3711 10th Street, Menominee. There will also be an option to attend virtually. The Community Foundation will provide dinner.  If you have any questions, please see Mr. Swanson.

Today we remember all the heroes who were forged in the hours, days, and years that followed that terrible morning of September 11, 2001 — ordinary Americans who, amidst the terror, smoke, and flames, demonstrated extraordinary courage and selflessness.  Together, their bravery helped prove to our Nation and the world the character of our Nation.  In honor of all the lives we lost 22 years ago — and in honor of all the heroes who have given their whole souls to the cause of this Nation every moment since — may today not only be observed with solemn remembrance but also with renewal and resolve.  Together, may we continue to demonstrate that the rights and freedoms that those terrorists sought to destroy on September 11, 2001, remain unwavering — strengthened by generations of Americans who have dared all and risked all to defend, protect, and preserve our democracy.  At this time we will pause for a moment of silence.
